The 2013 lawn season has brought many challenges to the lawn care maintenance companies of Northern Illinois.  From a flooded April to the third driest June-August on record, the lawns suffered from stresses caused from one extreme of precipitation to the other.  However, Lawn Doctor of Antioch-Gurnee-Waukegan and Lake Forest has successfully maintained the lawns of nearly 2,000 customers in the Lake County area of Northern Illinois.  Not only did we successfully maintain the lawns of many existing customers, we took on many new ailing lawns this season and brought them to a much healthier appearance.  The lawns that have shown the most improvement were ones that called and requested help early in the season and responded well from the benefits of our full application season.  Our lawns showed significant improvement from our standard lawn care maintenance program alone.  Here are some of the most recently documented successful lawn improvements in the photos below.  Note: these lawns only received regular fertilization and weed control applications, no over seeding or sodding was done to accomplish these results.

There is still one more fertilizer application for these lawns before the winter season.  These lawns will only look fuller and healthier as we close down the 2013 season and prepare for the spring of 2014.  Our late fall fertilizer will supply these lawns with the Nitrogen content they will need for winter dormancy and spring green up.
